As the owner of Rodeo Connection Publications Ltd., Heather Duthie brings over 10 years of experience in the design world. With a specialty in website and publication design, Heather found the opportunity back in 2012 to purchase Rodeo Connection, as something she couldn’t pass up! Raised in a rodeo and ranching family, her lifetime spent in the arena, barrel racing and roping, provided the perfect combination to tackle the ownership of Canada’s Official Rodeo News Source. As the primary designer for Rodeo Connection, as well as RC Designs, Heather relies heavily on associates Charmayne Crowe and Sylvia Welsh for their roles in the advertising, account management, and Creative Design aspects of the business. With a degree in Journalism & Communication Arts, Heather notes one of her best accomplishments as being selected by Global Media as the 2007 Troy Reeb Scholarship recipient, an opportunity which took her to Toronto, Ontario to complete her Journalism internship with Global National and Global Toronto media outlets. Along with her husband Shilo, Heather resides west of Nanton and outside of work enjoys barrel racing, running, curling, and the odd round of golf… weather permitting.
